Start out by checking into the Fairmont Queen Elizabeth hotel. Everything is within walking distance. The hotel boasts some rich history. Back in 1969 the song 'Give Peace a Chance' was recorded in the hotel by John Lennon & Yoko Ono during their week-long bed-in protest against the Vietnam war. If you want a real treat book your stay in their historic suite!
An easy stroll from the hotel is the Dominion Square Tavern. Set in one of the most beautiful rooms in the city, make sure you have one of their tasty cocktails...the Canuck is delish!
Just up the street is the bustle of Rue St Catherine which is the commercial artery of the city.
Pop into Simons, a Montreal institution. This well stocked department store features trendy, well-made clothing items with an undoubted European twist.
There's no denying that Montreal is a bike city...don't resist and hop on, it's a great way to get around.
Bixi is a revolutionary bike rental program which with numerous locations all across the city, take one for a spin!
Brunch is hard to resist especially at Le Cartet. Part restaurant, part trendy foodie boutique, there is no way to leave here without making your belly and pantry happy.
A few blocks away in Old Montreal you will be not only be blown away with beautiful architecture but by wonderful shopping. Rooney brings a wide range of interesting labels from around the world with a definite bespoke influence.
With so much to take-in, give your senses a rest at the Botta Botta Spa. Built in a 1951 restored ship you'll feel your stress float away as you enjoy one of their signature treatments while delighting in the views of this invigorating city!

I love the Canuck cocktail at Dominion Square Tavern. It has just the right amount of delicious maple syrup... only problem is that you can't stop at just one!
