Ultimate Travel Piece
2012 Paris Fashion Week is always inspiring. Sometimes it is hard to find a practical side to some of the collections. When I saw this piece by Sruli Recht I instantly thought it just might be the ultimate travel garment. Imagine boarding a long-haul flight and being able to zip this up and cocooning away until the landing. Hello...we are talking first class!

Big Adaptations
The British plug is one of the worlds most bulky and always proves a pain when travelling.
Well now there is a smart solution. Product designer and illustrator Min-Kyu Choi of Made in Mind has created The Mu—a folding USB adapter with a minimal, refined design that reduces overall object size by more than 70%.

Festival of Lights
Spending the winter months in the Northern hemisphere can be a bit blah. The folks of Ghent, Belgium have decided to do something about this. In it's second season Festival De Lumiere Grande (Festival of Light) runs from January 26-29. This free event that brightens the night sky with beautiful and imaginative installations that make the winter feel just a tad bit lighter.

Double time
Dubbel Duffel is great for those of us who often spend a bit more than we should when we travel.
The revised design based on the original 70's version comes in a fantastic array of colours to match any globetrotters taste!

La Leche Puerto Vallarta
Who knew Puerto Vallarta had such a spectacular dining scene? Recently I found myself there for work which just happened to coincide with their international gourmet food festival! I had hoped to check out more of the culinary scene but long days of producing photo-shoots (I'm an art director by day) only really allowed for one night out. Based on a friends' recommendation our photography crew found ourselves at La Leche. What a great find. The decor was as you may have guessed (Leche, meaning milk in Spanish) was white and modern. The menu seemed simple at first yet the food had a surprising subtle fusion which added kick to each bite. Dishes such as orange roasted duck with soy and popcorn salad were all plated with pure immigration. Make sure you don't skip desert, the crème brûlée will rival anything you would find in France!

Puerto Vallarta
I'm luck enough to be working in Puerto Vallarta for a few days. As I'm fast discovering it has not only a beautiful historic downtown but also a thriving food scene....more on that later, but for now here are a few photos!
